BULLDOG NEWS!

We are more than half way through our testing! Thanks for being vigilant and making sure this is going as smoothly as it can. As we move forward, please make sure we are looking out for teammates and visitors [proctors] who may have questions. If someone has a question, someone else may have the same need. Let’s answer, share and help keep it moving. If you have any needs, Mrs Hester, Mr Brown and I are there to support.

CjdnkUDUUAIik89This was a catapult construction from Mrs Henley’s class. This is great student centered activity for us to get our kids involved in – kids loved it! We should be doing this throughout the year and also at the end of the year.

Let’s start thinking of what learning can look like if we start thinking different, planning different and asking deeper questions.

Make the most of these last eight days!

I’ve talked to every grade level about their plans for end or year ceremonies – its great to hear that there are plans for every group and we are recognizing students for all their hard work.

Next year, I would like for every grade level to have a ceremony in the gym starting in the morning. We need to embrace and invite parents to a reward ceremony where we are recognizing the work and effort that students are doing.

The 8th grade ceremony is only an hour long – this is a great time for us all to shoot for. We can come up with some baseline awards we want to recognize for students and still allow grade levels to come up with their own distinctive awards. We can set up the gym once for all groups and rotate from the morning to after lunch.

Great chance to involve the community!
